Roll out your blanket and kick off your shoes. Our weekly BBQs on the waterfront make Saturday nights extra special. Pile up your plate with burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, grilled chicken, and corn on the cob. Finger-lickin’ good! Don’t forget a slice of watermelon!
There are many cultural centers and places of interest near Romaca that we visit, including Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and the Berkshire Museum. Older campers (6th-9th) grades enjoy extended trips to areas such as Saratoga Springs, Lake George, Newport, Boston, Cape Cod, and Nantucket.
During our end-of-summer Olympics, campers are assigned to one of four countries and participate in all manner of sports, non-athletic events, skits, and singing. Four campers from our eldest ROMREC division are chosen as team captains. With the help of lieutenants from the Annex and Clubhouse divisions, they lead each country through this spirited camp event. Olympics encompass 3 full days “somewhere” in the last ten days of camp. Only one person in camp knows the actual breakout day each year — and we’re not saying who!
Check out our Rookie Day & Tour page to plan for your trip to Romaca. Sombrero optional!
