Inters Week 2
Hello Inter families!
We had another exciting week here at camp. The girls have settled in beautifully and are proudly strutting their stuff all around camp-like real Romaca pros! We played Counselor Hunt and loved participating in the Miss Romaca game, dressing up the male staff in the craziest costumes you have ever seen! You should have heard them giggling and singing in the Rec Hall.
And you should see what Romaca does for July 4th! There is enough red, white, and blue to cover our whole country! We had Daniel dress up as King George and everyone had to play a series of games and complete some fun obstacles in order to help Daniel earn his American citizenship. We even earned gold for each obstacle completed and each race won! The Inters loved being led by the Romrec girls on their teams and loved bonding with each other and with all of the older girls. Then we did paint your counselor and the Inters had a blast! Before we knew it we were all painted red, ehite, and blue! Of course, we finished off this great day with a trip to Berkshire Bob’s house where we were “wow”ed by the most spectacular fireworks display many of us have ever seen! The girls were so cute snuggling with each other and staring at the fireworks in complete awe!
The Inters and Debs played a mini tennis tournament on Tuesday, although neither side can quite recall who won :) We even enjoyed some sneak-outs-sshhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone!
We even got a little exposure to some culture in the Berkshire area and traveled to Jacob’s Pillow on Thursday night to have a picnic dinner and see an open rehearsal. They had a great time together.
I have loved getting to know your girls and I look forward to meeting you all next week. It’s hard to believe how quickly the time is going. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
regards,
Charis
