Inters Week 4 Hello Inter Parents!
What a busy week for the Inters!
Sunday, Visiting Day 2016, was a resounding success. The Inters were thrilled to see you and their siblings. Everyone enjoyed a day of fun, food, and activities. It was a pleasure meeting all of you! In the evening, we were in the audience for a charming showing of Footloose, performed by the Clubhouse 7 girls. On Tuesday, we square danced to the sounds of Cliff Brodeur, who taught us how to Do-si-do! The Inters looked so cute with their painted on “country” freckles, their cowboy gear and flannels. Trip Day was Wednesday and we traveled to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MOCA) in North Adams. We were actually so proud of them, as they truly were engaged and appreciated what they saw. After taking in and learning about the artwork, we visited Persnickety Toys and then had a picnic lunch on the grass at the Natural Bridge State Park. Many of them came home with cute stuffed animals and trinkets to commemorate their day away from camp. On the way home, we grabbed some delicious ice cream as well! All happy faces there! Friday morning saw us up the side of Warner Hill on a fantastic day hike. They packed their little day packs with water bottles and sunscreen, picked up a walking stick on their way up the trail, and sang loudly on their way up the “mountain” (to the joy, I’m sure, of many Appalachian trail hikers nearby :-). We picked raspberries and blueberries at the top and sang our way back down again. After a few activities and a double rec swim, we had a camp-out with s’mores above the Archery range…comfortably right in our own back yard. Next week, we will be rehearsing for our very own show. The girls can’t wait!!
Until next time!
