Juniors Week 5
Hello Junior Parents!!!
This has been a great week here at Romaca, especially for the Juniors! While last week was jam packed with fun activities and special events, the Juniors dove into this week full force with all of their energy, ready to take advantage of every minute here at camp!
This past Sunday, the girls participated in Treasure Hunt, where they were split into teams and had to find hidden clues that led them to the waterfront, and a huge sloppy obstacle course! The girls loved sliding down the slip and slide covered in shaving cream, and had so much fun getting all their friends and counselors messy! After jumping in the water to wash off, the whole camp got a beautiful makeup bag with the Romacan logo on it. The girls had so much fun!
On Thursday, the girls got to celebrate their birthdays with Birthday Night! The Senior As put on an amazing event for everyone, complete with customized birthday hats, amazing decorations, and food! The event was themed “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and the Juniors had a great time eating and talking with their friends. The camp was split up by birth date into each of the four seasons, and each season performed their own song at the end! The girls loved getting to spend time with the older girls as well. They had so much fun!
Friday, the Debs woke everyone up with pots and pans to usher in Deb Carnival! The Debs put so much work into this event, and the Juniors had so much fun attending! They got to eat cotton candy and popcorn, dress up for a runway, go to a haunted house, get “married,” and more! The carnival was space themed, and it was truly out of this world! The Juniors loved running around and playing with their friends, it was such a fun and unique day for them.
After seeing the Debs perform an amazing rendition of Tangled, the Juniors and Inters began work on their own show, Aladdin! They practiced all week once or twice a day, and were constantly singing the songs from the show to practice! They loved spending time with their Inter friends and getting to be up on stage. They put on two performances, both of which were spectacular! The whole camp was so impressed by the amazing talent these little ones have to offer, and I was so proud of them! They had so much fun and were so enthusiastic about going to rehearsal, it truly was such a special moment for them.
Next week will begin a large amount of special events, including Olympics! This will be such a fun time for the little ones and they are so excited. Also, the Juniors cannot wait to see their grandparents on Sunday and show them all the amazing things they got to show you! They are ready to keep having the most fun they can before the summer is over, and I am so proud of everything they’ve achieved so far and everything I know they’ll achieve before the summer is over!
Warmly,
Mary
