Sub Seniors Week 5
Hello Sub Parents!!!
The Subs have had a jam packed week so far and still have tons of energy left!
We started the week with Treasure Hunt where the whole camp had to follow clues in order to win the camp prize. The hunt was hijacked by a super sloppy slide down at the waterfront which all the subs really enjoyed. They now have a new Romaca item to add to their collection, a cosmetic bag!
We also had a very special guest come to camp, Kathy Barley, to dedicate our new softball field too. We enjoyed the afternoon watching the opening game Romrec vs. the staff! We enjoyed hot dogs, popcorn and soda as we cheered on Romrec and the staff!
We had a wonderful green a white campfire which all the Subs enjoyed singing their little hearts out! On Wednesday the Subs had a social at Greylock, their camp sisters helped them get ready which was so precious to watch! Like always there was lots of anticipation of what the social was going to be like and if the boys were nice. By the end of the night, the girls had the best time with the boys and thought that they were really nice!
Thursday was the celebration of ALL camper and staff birthdays!! The Senior A’s put on a wonderful Birthday Night celebration for all the campers to enjoy. The theme this year was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The Subs enjoyed eating mac and cheese bites, making birthday hats, and the chocolate fondue station!!! YUM!
Friday was another wonderful day as it was Deb Carnival! This is always a special event in the calendar and the Subs had the opportunity to teach the Debs the Deb Carnival song which the girls really loved. The theme this year was Space!
Tonight the Subs will be watching the Jinters production of Aladdin, they are super excited to see the youngest campers perform!
Next week will be fun packed and the campers cannot wait for all the special events to begin.
Until next time,
Ellya Thomas
