Inters Week 7
Dear Inter Parents,
As much as we hate to see it coming, the end of the summer has arrived. However, we went all out on our last few days together! On Sunday, we did the hula, munched on incredible sandwiches and dunked each other in the dunking booth at Subsway. The Sub Seniors planned a great event for the camp at the waterfront and the inters loved cooling off on the water slides and in the water. Sunday evening we were wowed by Romrec and the rest of the Senior B’s at Secret Show. The Romrec girls wrote a terrific show based on Annie-they worked on it all summer and the Inters were amazed! On Monday, we had our very last campfire of the season and shed a few tears as we sang our favorite songs. The counselors put on an incredible show on Tuesday night and had us all in stitches from their jokes! Their theme was Hannah Montana-it was so clever-as Hannah/Miley was a Romacan camper and had to hide her identity as Hannah because she just wanted to be true to herself as a Romacan. After visiting the mall and seeing The Secret Life of Pets on Wednesday, we dressed up in our finest for Banquet Night and cheered all of our award-winning friends. Annex decked the halls in Fairy Tale themes and turned the night into a magical evening for all as we celebrated the summer together. Thursday night brought even more tears, both happy and sad, as we watched the slide show and recalled the best parts of the summer. Afterwards, we traveled to the waterfront to light each others’ candles and have one last night together. We made our wishes on our wish night candles and sent them off into the lake to say farewell.
Friday morning came all too soon, and we were up before the sun preparing to leave for home. It was with many tears that we said our last farewells, but we know that it’s only ten more months till Summer 2017! Thank you for sharing your beauties with me this summer and I can’t wait to see them all again in 2017 as Debs!
