Debs, Week 3

Dear Debs Families,

This Debs had another week of excitement and fun!

Friday night the girls saw the Annex’ show with the Greylock boys of, “Bring it on.” It was a phenomenal production with a great amount of talent. The Debs packed up for our hike at October Mountain. The girls drove there and began to set up their tents but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. The girls turned around to come back to Romaca to stay safe and warm. We played silly ‘“get to know you games” over ice-cream and had so much fun! The beginning of the week was quite busy for the Debs. We had a swim meet on Monday, soccer tournaments on Tuesday and Wednesday. The girls did a great job at their events! We came home with #1 soccer trophy from one of our tournaments. The girls creative juices have been flowing and the girls have been working hard in the planning of Debs Carnival. They are so cute-buzzing around knowing they are keeping this giant secret that is only their to share! We had a little pampering and girl time the other night, as well, of painting our nails during spa night.

We have also been a part of some great camp wide activities. This past Sunday, our Special Activity was Lip Sync battle. The girls were divided into different groups and had to come up with a dance/lip sync. The battles then began between the divisions to choose 1 winner. The 2nd and 3rd rounds of the lip sync battle was in front of the camp and the audience decided the winner based on the applause. The Rec Hall was filled with an amazing energy and excitement and was LOUD! One of the Deb bunks even made it to the semi finals doing Dear Evan Hansen! They rocked-made a full on choreographed routine and all! Later that night Annex led their first campfire while Romrec was away on their trip to Cape Cod. The Senior A’s production of Aladdin performed with the Greylock boys was truly amazing and it was so impressive how they learn their parts in such a short amount of time! There is always excitement in the air when DJ Jeff arrives in style with his crew. The girls are so excited to dance the night away later tonight.

The Debs have really grown as a division this week. They are getting to know each other and having so much fun! The girls are beyond excited to see all of you on visiting day. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday. Safe travels to all of you. See you soon!
