Hello Junior families!!
Week 2 of the Romacan summer is in full force! The little Junior rugrats have all had the most exciting time and have jumped head first into activities! All the girls have taken to Romaca seamlessly; participating in and loving every single activity throughout the day. From rock climbing to water-skiing, I have personally seen their smiles and heard their laughter as they branch out and take on new experiences. This past Sunday, we all gathered into the Rec hall to watch the Sub Seniors’ phenomenal theatrical performance of “42nd Street.” Watching the Subs division perform really got the Juniors pumped up and excited for their theatre performance later on in the summer. All of the girls are so talented and well rounded. They are having such a great time indulging in new things and spreading their wings here at Romaca! On Sunday we also attended an all camp activity called, “Counselor Auction,” where the different bunks all got a certain amount of “romaca” money to bid on various counselors who offered up various prizes such as a “nail painting party” or a “movie night”. The Juniors won a spa party and got to choreograph a dance for one of the male staff members! They all absolutely loved it. Also, the Fourth of July was packed full of so many memorable and fun filled moments. We spent most of the day at the waterfront rotating through all kinds of July 4th stations. There was a relay, a hot dog eating competition, and state name game, a signing of the ‘Romacadependence’, and all the campers got red, white, and blue paint and got the chance to decorate and paint their counselors in patriotic colors! The day was wrapped up with a trip to Berkshire Bobs for a fireworks display, it was the perfect ending to a great day. Week 2 has definitely been an amazing time, and we all can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds! You should be so proud of your girls-I don’t think you will believe your eyes next week when you see how much they’ve “grown”.
Have a great weekend,
Fretts :-)
