Hi Juniors families!
This has been a very exciting and fun-filled week for the Junior campers. They attended the Annex show, which was Bring It On. The girls couldn’t stop giggling and laughing the whole way through, from some of the boyfriend-girlfriend comments that were made during the show. They all came back to their bunks a giggling mess; their commentary of the show was hilarious. We also has a green and white campfire this past Sunday, so instead of wearing their divisional color, red, they all wore green and white Romaca colors! It was very spirited and gave the campfire a very “classic” feel. The Juniors joined with the Inter division for one of their evening activities this week, engaging in a night swim! Every single camper joined in and swam in the lake; which was still the perfect temperature from being warmed from the sun throughout the day. Swimming in the lake all together while the sun was setting made for a great memory; and it wasn’t as crowded so everyone got plenty of Wibit play time! Another evening activity that the Juniors got the opportunity to do was a beauty night with the Romrec division. All the campers showed up at Romrec in dresses and the Romrec campers completely made each of them over! Makeup, nails done, hair straightened or braided back…..everyone looked so cute! At the end of the night they paraded around the bunk in a fashion show, led by the Romrec counselors. It all made for such a fun night!
DJ Jeff was another exciting evening activity this week, all the Juniors got DJ Jeff t shirts to cut up and design, and they wore them there. The music was loud and the whole camp spent the evening dancing and singing in the Rec Hall. By the time it was done, everyone was sweaty, fulfilled, and tired and the Juniors especially said they had such a fun experience. The whole camp also got a Lip Sync battle started this past Sunday and every bunk got the opportunity to pick a song and make up a dance to perform on stage. Things got very wild and fun near the end, when the Annex division competed against the Senior A’s; it was a great time! All in all, this week flew by and the Juniors girls have settled in easily here at Romaca. They are all very much excited for their upcoming trip to Jacob’s Pillow at the end of the week and then Trip Day coming up on the 19th! Should be fun :)
Have a safe trip up to the Berkshire’s and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
