Hello Senior A Families,
This week as been full of wonder and excitement. We had the pleasure of watching the Clubhouse 7 show on Saturday which was High School Musical, the girls really enjoyed singing along to the songs.
Can’t believe that almost a week has gone by since Visiting Day! The girls were so thrilled to see you all running in with all the wonderful food and gifts you had for them. It was wonderful to see you all with the girls, having picnics, playing tennis, and chilling out in the summer sun. I had a brilliant time meeting you all, some for the first time. It was great to catch up on things and for you to see just how wonderful the Senior A’s really are. It was the most relaxed and chilled day, just what we needed.
On Monday, all of camp played Counselor Hunt, a game where the counselors hide all around camp and the campers have a limited amount of time to find as many counselors as they can. The girls had a lot of fun wondering around camp with their camp sisters trying to find the well hidden counselors!
We then had our annual Square Dance with the ever wonderful Cliff Brodeur. All the girls dressed up in plaid shirts with hair in braids and promenaded the night away. It was amazing to see the girls getting down on the dance floor with each other, so cute.
On Wednesday we embarked on our trip to Lake George and Saratoga. The girls were very excited as this was their first overnight trip, that wasn’t a hike, out of camp. We traveled to Lake George on the first day, taking in the sites, eating lunch with a spectacular view of the lake and shopping. We had a leisurely ride on an old fashioned steam boat called the Minnie Ha Ha. The breeze we felt was wonderful as it was quite hot out! We then went to the movies and had dinner. Finally we checked into our hotel for the night which was very grand inside. The girls loved sleeping in their big beds. The next day we went for a stroll on the main streets of down town Saratoga, if you like race horses, its the place for you. We all had lunch and wondered through Congress Park. We then headed for Howe Cavern, which is a cave more then 100 feet underground and its also 52 degrees in the cave, so cold! The girls really enjoyed the tour and loved the gift shop especially! As we made our way back home, we stopped off to have dinner and now the girls are super tired, tucked up in bed.
Next week we have more tournaments to enjoy. Romrec and Debs perform their shows and we also have an all camp Treasure Hunt to come, not to mention Birthday Night. A jam packed week of fun is till to come.
Until next time
