Hey There Sub Families!!!
This week things finally slowed down for the SUBS, we went back to regular schedule and have been able to start working on Subsway! This week we saw the Romrec show at Greylock, Bye-Bye Birdie. The girls had a blast watching their camp sisters preform and saw some of their friends, brothers and cousins.
The week began with our all camp activity, Treasure Hunt. As a group, we had to follow clues in order to win the camp prize. The hunt took all afternoon due to our Trainees and Floaters hiding the clues so well! It was nice to see the girls put their heads together to figure out the riddles! These girls know Romaca like the back of their hands! All of camp was so happy with their prize: BUCKET HATS! The SUBS are already thinking of ideas to decorate them (signatures, tie-dyes, etc.)
Shortly after the Treasure Hunt we were able to see the Deb Show of “Newsies.” The SUBS loved it! Again they knew all the songs and loved being able to see the DEBS shine. They were amazing!
Thursday was Birthday Night. We celebrate ALL camper and staff birthdays through the four seasons!! The Senior A’s put on such a beautiful display for the Birthday Night celebration. The theme this year was Beauty and the Beast, I’m sure you can imagine how excited all the girls were! The decorations were beautiful, the walls were covered with Belle and the Beast dancing and we even had centerpieces just like the movie! The girls enjoyed all the yummy food, the adorable skit about Belle coming to Romaca, and just celebrating being with each other!
The SUBS cannot wait to see what Deb Carnival will look like-they remember doing it themselves like it was yesterday :-) We are so anxious to see the secret theme and play Carnival games! The kids take these themes so seriously, it makes it so much more fun! It is so cute to watch them all get so involved.
After the Deb Carnival we are ending the night with a social at Greylock and the girls are so excited! They are ready to get on the dance floor and show these boys what they are made of! I already have “hair appointments” set up for Friday! SO CUTE! It will definitely be an eventful day!
Next week we begin our special events and the girls are so ready for Olympics to break out! I wonder if there are going to be any fake outs? haha!
Camp has been so much fun and I know we have so much more in store!
