Juniors, Week One
Hello Junior Families!!
The Juniors kick started the 2018 summer exceptionally well with their sweet and precious faces. Immediately they have been making new friends, sharing new experiences together, and making memories. During the first night, every Junior showed up at campfire wearing their divisional color, RED! Every camper wore red tutus, leggings, face paint, hairspray, and even fake red eyelashes!! They all looked so cute and it was definitely a great way to start the summer. The next evening was Get To Know Your Counselor, where the campers all got to see their new counselors on stage introducing themselves in such fun and creative ways. The next night it was the Juniors’ turn; and watching them on stage performing their various songs and skits made the Rec Hall come alive!! It was such a great time and everyone really enjoyed getting to know one another. I was beaming with pride-and so were their sweet counselors-like stage moms backstage, mouthing all the lines from behind the curtains :-) The Juniors have also tightly bonded with their big camp sisters, and they receive a ton of attention and cuddles from them throughout the day. It’s so heartwarming to see older campers guiding and taking care of the little ones at camp. Activities started on Monday, and the Juniors got to experience the ropes course, waterfront, gymnastics, creative arts… you name it! Everytime I showed up at an activity, they were laughing or smiling, sometimes even dancing with excitement getting to try all these new things! It has been very impressive to watch the Juniors get the hang of camp and settle in so quickly. I absolteuly CANNOT wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!!
Here’s to the Romaca 2018 summer!
