Juniors, Week 5
Hi Junior Families!!
It’s been another exciting week for our Junior girls! Last weekend we got to see the Romrec show on Saturday. They performed Grease with some of the Greylock Senior boys. It was SUCH good performance and the Juniors thought it was absolutely hilarious to watch this romantic comedy that some of them have never even seen before. On Sunday we got to see the Debs show, which was Peter Pan. It was fantastic and the Juniors all loved watching.
Monday evening was Birthday Night, the whole camp got together and celebrated everyone’s birthdays! It was run by the Senior A’s, and the theme was “70’s groovy.” It was a truly psychedelic and fun time and the girls really enjoyed the “pass the parcel” game that we always play. There is a gift wrapped in the middle of your table, and when you hear the music play, you pass the parcel around until the music stops. Whoever is holding the parcel when the music stops gets to open the first layer of it. Sometimes each layer has a piece of candy or toy surprise, and then you keep passing until the parcel is completely unwrapped. It’s a ton of fun! After dinner we stayed in our separate birthday seasons and got to make songs, skits, outfits, etc to go along with our birthday month; such a fun tradition!
The rest of our evenings this week have been full of play rehearsals for our Juniors and Inters show, Wicked. The girls have been looking forward to this all summer and have been working SO hard memorizing their lines, all the songs, and getting ready for their big debut, tonight! The Junior counselors have their red tie dye shirts ready, adorned with “Junior Mommies” on them with a Wicked quote.
With the show and Grandparents visiting day happening, the Juniors have a busy and fun-filled time coming their way! We are down to only a couple weeks left, so let’s make it count! :)
Sincerely,
Fretts
