Senior A’s, Week 2
Dear Senior A Families,
Time flies when you are having fun… It’s hard to believe that we have completed two weeks of camp. We have had a week full of great events and activities. We have decided on our Senior A Birthday Night theme and the girls are coming up with so many amazing ideas. I am confident that the girls will all come together to work as a team to make this year’s Birthday Night is a great success.
The entire camp participated in Lip Sync battle with their bunks. The Senior A’s were so entertaining to watch-their counselors and I were cheering for them constantly! We saw our first camp show production of Finding Nemo performed by the Subs which was fantastic! Fourth of July was another big part of our week. We started off our day with an all camp rap battle followed by a cook-out for lunch down at the waterfront. We then went through a rotation of different fun activity stations, followed by painting our counselors. Before we left for a magnificent display of fireworks at Berkshire Bob’s home, we sang our national anthem along with having the counselors singing their national anthems. Thursday night we had a Counselor Auction where counselors and some advisory staff auctioned themselves off to each bunk of campers and have a task or activity to do for them. I partnered myself with DebDeb from waterfront and added a great prize for the bunk that “bought” us. The girls auditioned for their first co-ed show with Greylock. We will be performing the show, “Shrek-The Musical.” I am so excited to see the girls entertain us all and show off their theatrical abilities this week.
The Senior A’s have been doing a great job in their activities, working hard and having a ton of fun! It is their first time they are participating in Senior Choice throughout the days. I know they are all enjoying that change now that they are choosing their own activities. I love going to activities with them and watching them bond with all of the Senior B’s in their Senior Choice activity periods (this is the first time they are mixed up throughout the day with girls their age and the older girls as well). I know being an 11-12 year old girl is not easy but I am so proud of how they are all so comfortable with one another and run freely in and out of each other’s bunks all day, and laugh with and support their whole division. This is all part of our Romaca experience and setting them up to be the best group of Clubhouse 7 girls (all living under one roof) next summer! It was a great week, and we are expecting another amazing week to come.
Enjoy your week!!!
