Dear Romrec Families,
Wow, I can’t believe I’m back here with your lovely girls! This week we have been spending time bonding as a division as this summer has been two whole years in the making. It was truly magical to watch the girls lead their first campfire of the summer. They chanted so loudly to some of their favorite songs that they have been waiting so long to sing together. Wish Night was the most special yet, as all of your girls made their final wish as Romacan campers.
On Sunday morning, we had picture day. They wore their arrival day shirts and took a beautiful group photo down by the waterfront. Later on in the afternoon, the girls broke into groups for Lip Sync battle which is one of my favorite activities to watch. The team that won our divisional battle incorporated all of the girls into their final performance in front of the entire camp. Romrec was so supportive of all the younger campers while they took the stage and cheered everyone on for their performance. In the evening we watched Get to Know Your Counselor down at the waterfront. All of the counselors performed by department to introduce themselves to the rest of the camp. The girls sat front and center and led the entire camp in cheering on the staff. The next night the girls brought the house down as they formally introduced themselves as Romrec 2021 and sang their song for Get to Know Your Camper.
The girls were so happy to get back into the swing of summer by participating in yoga and some of their other divisional activities. We have had some awesome evening activities, including Senior B statues. This is a favorite activity which gives the Senior B girls a chance to dress up and act out a scene which leads to tons of laughs while forming special bonds.
The girls are excited to begin a new week with their senior choice schedules that they have chosen. The girls are bonding and are having a wonderful time back at camp. The Romrec girls have been bringing such great spirit to each meal, flagpole and campfire which all of the campers have absolutely LOVED! I am so grateful to be back at my happy place and spending the summer with your incredible young women.
