Sub-Seniors Week 3

Dear Sub-Senior Families,

This was a great week for the girls! The camp got back into the swing of things this week with a few days of sunshine and warm weather towards the end. The camp was a little quieter this week with Romrec out on their trip to Cape Cod, so it’s nice to hear the full hustle and bustle of a busy camp filled with all of the divisions.

They have had jam-packed evenings of rehearsals to make sure that the show really comes together perfectly and the girls feel confident about what they will be doing on stage.

Just watching the rehearsal process and seeing how seriously the girls are taking this excites me so much; the girls are so into their roles and super enthusiastic about the show this weekend. It’s filled with action, fun, and some great songs. Check out our Instagram for some pics from the show!

Wednesday brought us some sunshine so the girls spent as much time outdoors as possible and enjoyed a beautiful rec swim that afternoon. We also had Brother/Sister with Greylock so it was nice for the girls to get some family time in. It really lifted their moods and they didn’t even seem to mind the rain that had set in.

Thursday was another beautiful day in the Berkshires and the night was concluded with an all-camp favorite: DJ Jeff. The girls danced and sang the night away in the Rec Hall, completely tiring themselves out in the process. It was a good way to get all the pent up energy out from our rainy days. The girls had such a fun night!

Friday evening we had another favorite evening activity, Counselor Auction. The campers were able to bid for different counselors and then received corresponding “prizes” that involve the counselors. Some examples were: serving the counselors breakfast in bed; having a pizza party with the girls; or lights out a half hour early. The “prizes” were all different and a total surprise for the girls, so they never knew what to expect other than who they bid for. It was a super fun night!

This weekend is visiting day weekend, and while it will look a little different this year, the girls are all so excited for the activities we have in store for them as well as their calls with all of you ( and of course the treats you sent up in their packages).

Have an amazing week, Jess
