Hey Super Junior & Junior Families!!!
I can not get over how quickly this summer is going by! It seems impossible that we are already at the end of week 4. Your superstar girls have been so busy getting ready for their Snow White play. Opening night was Saturday night in the rec hall followed by a Sunday matinee performance. Let me say that the countless hours that the girls spent in PAWS rehearsing this week really paid off. The girls did such a fabulous job and they worked so well together!
However, the play wasn’t the only exciting thing happening this week at camp. We started this week with a fun filled (virtual) visiting day schedule that included a favorite all camp event, a Treasure Hunt, made up of 27 teams racing throughout camp to be the first to open the treasure box at the end. The Treasure Hunt prize was a Romaca hat for everyone, a fast favorite prize! The girls also enjoyed a typical visiting day feast, complete with sushi and lots of dessert! They also got to watch and cheer for the Romrec girls in their softball game versus the advisory staff. We ended the night with Cliff Broduer, who has been coming to Romaca for 51 years, for a country themed night, where the girls got to learn square dancing. In lieu of our traditional trip day on Wednesday, we shuttled the girls to our favorite ice cream shop, Topsy’s, for a flavor burst ice cream! The weather has certainly taken a turn for the better and we are really enjoying the sunny days and looking forward to more sunshine in the weeks to come!!
Best, Bekah
