Hello Senior A parents,
The girls had a great third week of camp! Moving into Sunday, we had our all camp activity, International Day! The whole camp was divided into different international airlines. The groups “flew” around camp going to different countries represented by stations around camp, six different countries were stationed with popular foods and activities that represent each culture! We had Scotland, with cookies and “pin the head of the Loch Ness Monster”, England with strawberries and cream and soccer, South America with quesadillas and salsa dancing, Israel with latkes and writing a wish on the Western Wall, USA with a hotdog eating contest, and Australia with fairy bread and an Aussie lingo quiz! Ireland served “beer” (apple juice) and had the girls make their own rainbows and try to pronounce Irish words! The girls loved experiencing the different cultures and listening to popular music from every country. To end the fun-filled day, we had a campfire led by Annex! The girls sang their hearts out while decked out in blue. Monday started our first day of making decorations for Birthday Night! The girls have been going into creative arts all week, making items for Birthday Night. They have been making centerpieces, decor, and a plaque for the event. The skit and songs have been written and are going to be such a great addition to the Birthday Night fun. The girls are really committing to making Birthday Night the best one yet!! On Thursday some of the Senior A’s participated in the tennis invitational and some participated in the swim meet. It is so nice to see how much the girls love to represent Romaca in these competitions. We have such an athletic division!
I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday. Cheyenne
