Dear Sub-Senior families,
In week three, the subs made tons of memories, laughed uncontrollably, and cheered a ton :) I cannot believe we are heading into visiting day weekend, and I cannot wait to meet all of you!
Thanks to mother nature, many sunny days were had this week. The girls were out and about and able to get through full days of camp and participate in their FFF’s! In addition to the regular schedule, the girls were able to participate in a whole host of special events. Between birthdays, tournaments, the hike, the first social, and Dj Jeff, this week was packed and for sure a memorable one.
On the various trips that occurred this week (to Monument mountain, Greylock, and other local camps), the girls spent multiple car rides (or van rides, here at Romaca), belting their hearts out to songs by Taylor Swift and from “Bring it On”. “Cruel Summer” and “What I Was Born to do” are definitely a hit! I am sure your daughters will be singing these songs for the rest of their lives and thinking of their camp friends and this summer when they start playing :)
With tons happening, the girls constantly on the go, relaxation time was needed. At the end of the week, we had a much needed relaxing evening activity. Writing letters to their future selves and a guided meditation (with some giggles in the background) in the yoga pavilion at the most gorgeous time of day at the waterfront!
The girls will definitely continue to rest up before this visiting day! One of my favorite days EVER as a camper, I am crossing fingers for good weather! I am excited to meet you all and see all the girls’ food request lists come to life. I know they are so excited, too, and they are currently signing up for activities so they can show you what they have been doing and learning here at camp!!!
Just a few more sleeps till you will all be back on Longview Ave…
Xoxo, Hannah
