Hello Deb Families!
It was SO nice meeting all of you on Visiting Day! The girls were so excited to see all of you and show you their favorite spots and activities around camp! I loved talking and meeting you and I hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did! As soon as you left, the girls’ big camp sisters scooped them up for some tight hugs and we headed down to have a dance party.
We had a super exciting week here at camp and spent a lot of time preparing for the coming week. Monday we had our first play rehearsal! Our show this year is Beauty and the Beast and I cannot wait to see the full production. I have been watching the girls practice and in just a few days they have come so far! They have spent so much of their free time learning their lines and practicing with each other, I couldn’t be prouder. In between all of this, we are also working on our Deb Carnival which is only one week away!
On Tuesday, we had Miss Romrecer. The girls had so much fun dressing up a Romrec camper that got assigned to their bunk. They prepared them for 3 rounds of competition in which they walked the runway, showed off silly talents, and answered questions in character. They had the best time cheering their Romrecer on.
On Thursday, we went to Funplex Funpark in New York for our trip day. We had a BLAST! There were go karts, a bouncy house, water wars, a trampoline, basketball and more. The girls and their counselors spent the day running around with smiles on their faces. We then had pizza, ice cream at Topsy’s and came back to camp for dinner. It was a hot day so it made for an amazing day to run around and be in the water. Stay tuned for next week when I fill you in on ALL the details from Debs Carnival and the fun we’ll have this upcoming week.
