Romrec Week 5

Dear Romrec Families,

It’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown by. It seems like just yesterday that the girls arrived, brimming with excitement for their Romrec Summer. We’ve had an exhilarating and joy-filled week here at Romaca!

We kicked off the week with a memorable Alumni Weekend, where past campers returned to Romaca. It was particularly special for me to see your wonderful daughters reconnecting with my counselors from previous summers. The Romrec bunk was buzzing with energy, and the girls had the chance to mingle with older Romaca alumni. It was a heartwarming day capped off by a special campfire led by Romrec.

On Sunday, we enjoyed our annual all-camp Treasure Hunt, led by Romrec. Teams scoured the camp for clues that eventually led them to a locked treasure chest. Inside, each camper found delightful Romaca makeup pouches and hair twist towels. We wrapped up the evening with a festive Ice Cream Bar in celebration of National Ice Cream Day.

The weather this week has been absolutely gorgeous in the Berkshires, with sunny days perfect for all our camp activities. Tuesday saw our lovely Romrec girls heading over to Danbee for the annual cheer competition. Romrec proudly took first place, leaving other teams in awe. I couldn’t contain my joy and excitement as they celebrated their victory with a trip to Topsy’s for a well-deserved sweet treat.

Another highlight was Shack N Back, our traditional swim to the red shack across Plunkett Lake. Singing all the way there made for a wonderfully silly morning. Later in the afternoon, Senior A’s hosted Birthday Night with a “Monster Inc” theme. Romrec was divided into teams based on their birth seasons, enjoying cake and singing Romacan songs late into the night.

That’s all for now! This week has been packed with nothing but FUN FUN FUN, and we’re gearing up for even more excitement in the upcoming week.

XOXO,

Liv
