Senior A's Week 2

Hello Senior A families!!

Week two has come to a close, so I have a b´log to share with you :) It was a SUPER fun week, camp is totally in full swing!

The energy this week was ELECTRIC, coming off the post Lip Sync battle HIGH from Sunday. Congratulations to Bunk 20 on the win! They represented the Senior A’s SO well. This was a huge success for the division :)

To continue the excitement, evening activities this week ranged from a divisional fashion show, Birthday Night prep, and a social with Greylock! Tons of fun happening here. For the fashion show, the girls were broken into groups and assigned counselors and oobs for different themed rounds, such as “Counselors in Saratoga!¨ The girls got super creative, pooled together their items, and organized an interview and catwalk that their counselor then put on for the whole division.

Birthday Night is the event the Senior As will be putting on at the end of the month – for the entire camp!! The girls have chosen a theme they would like, and planning for it began this week! I will let them tell you the rest in letters and phone calls as the details are a BIG secret for the whole camp. I will be sure to update you about how this planning is going, so stay tuned for that.

Moving through the week, the girls had play tryouts for… drumroll please…School of Rock!!! They smashed tryouts, having so much fun singing songs and acting out scenes from the show. I know it will be difficult to cast this show, the Senior A’s are just so talented! Rehearsals will start this weekend, and the Senior A’s will take trips to Greylock to practice with the guys with whom they will be putting on the show.

Continuing the fun, there were many intercamps and tournaments happening this week here at camp. Between soccer invites, tennis tournaments, the annual Romaca swim invitational, and brother sisters between Greylock AND Winadu, and MORE, the girls are totally on their feet, mixing with other camps, and showing off ALL their skills.

To close out the week with a bang, it was, of course, the 4th of July!! Between a rap battle, paint your counselor, a cookout with kebabs and other ¨special¨ food, and a Romrec-led, 4th of July themed campfire down at the lake, ending with fireworks over the lake, it was a super patriotic and fun-filled day.

As it is clear, this week of camp was packed with fun for the Senior A’s and the entire camp as a whole. There were tons of memories made, laughs had, and performances performed. It was a total blast here and Romaca for the summer 2024 truly has a special energy about it. Stay tuned for more updates next week, between the play, the hike, and DJ Jeff, there will be so much to share!

Have a great week Senior A families :)

XOXO,

Hannah
