Senior A's Week 3

Dear Senior A families,

What a fabulous week it was here at camp! I cannot believe three weeks have concluded and that Visiting Day is around the corner! We are all so excited for you to arrive on Sunday. Before you receive the full, in-person rundown from your daughters, I will provide the highlights in this week’s b’log!

To close out week two, the Senior A’s put on two incredible performances of School of Rock for all of Greylock and Romaca. They gave their all, singing, laughing, and dancing on stage. I know it was a fun first experience for them, doing the plays with the guys over at Greylock. From solo and group moments, everyone was involved and that made me so very happy.

Moving into week three, the girls were for sure on the go, in and out of camp, involved in various intercamps. From basketball, to volleyball, tennis, soccer, and swim, the girls were able to compete in areas that they enjoy and are skilled at. They might have not all been 1st place successes, but the girls came back with smiles on their faces and stories to share, and for that, I consider it multiple wins!

While not each and every girl competed in an intercamp this week, each Senior A participated in the annual hike, this year’s challenge being Mount Greylock. As it was only a day hike, we drove over to the mountain in the morning with day-bags packed, climbed up the mountain, ate lunch at the top, and came back down. The day was filled with singing songs, telling stories and riddles, admiring the gorgeous view at the top, and eating yummy trail mix. They finished the hike with spirits high, sore feet, and a fribble treat to enjoy :) It was an accomplishment for the division and overall a success.

Continuing through the week, there was some serious Birthday Night prep happening. One night this week, the girls gathered in the lodge to watch the movie of their theme. It was fun as well as informative, helping them to brainstorm and solidify their ideas for how they want to put on the event. Later in the week, there was an evening activity in creative arts to get to work. The girls are currently designing a plaque, tie dying t-shirts, creating centerpieces, activities, curating a menu, and writing a song that the entire camp is going to enjoy. Their energy surrounding this event is beyond wonderful, and I know the camp is in for a real treat.

For more fun and excitement, we had three birthdays in the Senior A division this week!! There was tons of cake had, more movies watched, and delicious pizza eaten. Romaca birthdays are just the best and I know all of these birthday girls were filled with so much love from all around camp!

This b’log and week would not be complete without the mention of DJ JEFF! In their creatively designed “Dj Jeff” shirts, the Senior A’s walked into the event with high energy and enthusiasm, ready to have a fun night. We danced the night away, sang our hearts out, and watched Romrec put on their yearly dance. It was a fun packed night that was memorable for so many.

As the week closes out, we are looking forward to seeing all of you so soon! The girls are designing welcome signs for all of you, finalizing their Visiting Day lists, and signing up for activities for you to come watch them shine at! There is so much awesomeness happening this summer, and I am very excited for you to see all of that :)

Safe travels up to camp, just a few more sleeps!!

XOXO,

Hannah
