Hellooo Sub Families!
We started our week with our performance of Grease Lightning! It was such an amazing show and had parts built in where the crowd got to get up and dance! The Subs hold so much talent, I’m hopelessly devoted to them! They were able to perform once on Saturday night then again on Sunday during rest period. Come Sunday afternoon, we had our lip sync battle with our very own bunk 16 making it to the final round! It was quite a competition, with each division bringing out their best dance moves to their favorite songs. The Senior A’s ended up bringing home the trophy!
This week for our evening activities, we have started planning for our big event of the summer, SubsWay! The girls have been hard at work picking their theme and the meals that will be served that day. We are so excited! It has been interesting to hear all of the ideas that the girls bring to the table. They have such creative minds and have come up with some brilliant ways to decorate the waterfront!
Fast forward to Fourth of July, it was a day packed with all camp activities. We had our rap battle where each bunk picked out a key phrase and had to write a song using that phrase. Some wrote full songs and some did raps… REMIX!!! We ended the night all together on the beach down at the waterfront. It was so sweet to sit and be right on the lake with everyone. Forever more we’ll be just pals, good ole pals!
It was a week full of bonding and fun here at Camp Romaca and I cannot wait to see what Week 3 has in store for us! Be sure to check back in next week to see what fun the Subs have gotten into!
